About the role

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and technically competent Project Planner to join our Marine Infrastructure & Coastal Planning Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for project scheduling, planning, resource coordination, milestone tracking, regulatory timelines, and multidisciplinary coordination for marine and coastal infrastructure projects. The role requires close coordination with engineers, environmental scientists, GIS specialists, regulatory agencies, and clients to ensure timely completion of environmental studies, statutory approvals, and project deliverables. Key Roles & Responsibilities • Develop comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for marine and coastal infrastructure projects. • Prepare project execution plans covering Environmental Clearance (EC), Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ), Forest Clearance (FC), EIA studies, marine baseline surveys, and statutory approval timelines. • Define project milestones, critical paths, resource allocation, and deliverable schedules. • Monitor project progress against planned timelines and recommend corrective actions where required. • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental planners, marine scientists, GIS experts, survey teams, and external consultants. • Track statutory approval processes and ensure timely submission of applications, compliance reports, and supporting documentation. • Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Gantt Charts, project dashboards, progress reports, and management presentations. • Support proposal preparation, project budgeting, manpower planning, and resource utilization. • Coordinate with clients, government authorities, and regulatory bodies during various project stages. • Identify project risks, schedule constraints, and resource conflicts, and develop mitigation strategies. • Assist in planning marine field investigations, environmental monitoring programs, and seasonal survey schedules. • Maintain project documentation, action trackers, meeting minutes, and project correspondence. • Ensure project execution aligns with contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. • Support project teams through commissioning, compliance monitoring, and post-clearance activities. Educational Qualification Applicants should possess any one of the following: • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering • Master's Degree in Environmental Planning • Master's Degree in Coastal Zone Management • Master's Degree in Marine Infrastructure Planning • Or an equivalent qualification relevant to infrastructure planning and environmental consultancy. Experience • 1–3 years of experience in project planning, infrastructure planning, environmental consultancy, or multidisciplinary engineering projects. • Experience in marine infrastructure, ports, shipyards, coastal development, or environmental projects will be preferred. • Fresh candidates with exceptional academic credentials, planning expertise, and software proficiency may also be considered. Technical Skills • Mandatory proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. • Certification in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project will be highly preferred. • Strong understanding of project scheduling, critical path analysis (CPM), resource planning, and project controls. • Working knowledge of Environmental Clearance (EC), Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Forest Clearance (FC) processes will be an added advantage. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS platforms (ArcGIS/QGIS) will be considered an advantage. • Ability to prepare project dashboards, MIS reports, and schedule performance analyses. Preferred Knowledge Candidates with knowledge or exposure to the following will have an added advantage: • Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification • Forest Conservation regulations and statutory approval processes • Port, jetty, shipyard, marina, dredging, waterfront, and coastal infrastructure projects • Marine baseline studies and environmental monitoring • Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles and project control methodologies
